The next time someone is at the doctor or dentist facing a bill they cannot immediately pay off, they shouldn’t be surprised if they are offered a medical credit card. These cards, and in some cases installment loans issued to cover healthcare costs are new, but their use is growing. Despite their popularity, credit cards aren’t necessarily the best tool for handling medical expenses.
