ROBIN L. THOMPSON

Robin Lynn Emery Thompson, 59, of Benton Harbor, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023.

A visitation was held on Tuesday, Sept. 26 and a funeral service was held Wednesday, Sept. 2. Both services were at the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service, 249 East Center Street, Coloma. Please share messages or memories at www.florin.net.

Robin was born and raised in Coloma to Sharon and Thomas Emery. She had three siblings; two sisters and one brother. Robin was married to her husband Delbert Thompson in June of 1993. She worked for 18 years at Leco Corporation in St. Joseph as a QA Technician.

Robin spent most of her spare time with her family and friends outdoors. She loved playing golf and bowling, among other sports. She served as director for the Women’s Association of the Southwest Michigan United States Bowling Congress (SM USBC WBA), and continued to serve after it merged into SM USBC. Unfortunately, she resigned from her position within the last few years due to her health.

In addition to playing various sports, she frequently attended all the sporting events she could. Her favorite included watching the Chicago Cubs, of which she was a huge fan. She also enjoyed traveling which she mostly did with her best friend Suzanne. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Robin is survived by her husband Del, sister Terry Emery (Tom) Springer, brother Thomas (Susan) Emery, nieces Anna and Tiffany, and nephews Thomas “T.J.” and Aiden, her life-long friend Suzanne (David) Davis, whom she knew for over 40 years, her long-time friend Steve Adair whom she knew for over 40 years, her four god-children; Tiffany (Joshua) Kyncl, Angie (Matt) Beilman, Jamie Myers and Jon Davis.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sharon and Thomas and her sister Debbie.
