100 years ago – 1924

Messrs. Velek and Macek, the new proprietors of the Woodward hotel and pavilion at Paw Paw Lake have been busy all winter making improvements. They are planning a series of spring dances.

One of the finest and most exclusive resorts will become a reality. H. W. Jacobs, owner of “Jacobia,” announced plans. A golf course, along with attractive cottages overlooking the lake and work to the decaying tower, are beginning.
