100 years ago – 1925

Happy is the man who is not driving his automobile. The price of gasoline has advanced three times in the past two weeks. It is now selling at 20.8 cents per gallon.

An extension school with the state and county farm bureau will be held at the Community Church. The Ladies’ Social Union will serve a bountiful New England dinner for 50 cents per plate.

The Good Fellows Dancing Club will observe Lincoln’s birthday. The dance party will be at the Bunker Opera House.
