Ron was born in Detroit to Harry and Irene Meschke. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1963. He worked at Michigan Standard Alloys and Excello Machine until he retired. Ron loved his family. He especially enjoyed family game nights and holidays. He loved going to breakfast every Friday with his son-in-law, Tony, where all the world’s problems were solved over coffee. He loved to ride his motorcycle and enjoyed the local bike runs and riding with friends. Ron enjoyed watching old westerns and the Detroit Lions and MSU football. He had his favorite local places to eat and always had something nice to say about the servers that got to know him. Ron was a funny, kind and gentle man that will be missed greatly.
Ron is survived by his daughters, Gwen (Tony) Doneruse of Coloma and Jennifer (Zack) Tope of Benton Harbor; brothers Gary (Susie) Meschke and Roger (Betsy) Meschke; grandchildren David (Nikki) Doneruse, Vincent Doneruse (Madison Stout), Michael Fazzini and Melissa Fazzini; great-grandchildren Collen Doneruse (Heather Schadler), Rayne Doneruse, Landen Doneruse and Haven Rose Fazzini; and his great-great-grandchild Nikolai Doneruse.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Judy in 2014, and his faithful dog P-Nut.
