RUTH ANN MILLHOUSE


Ruth Ann (Horton) Millhouse of Coloma passed away on Oct. 27, 2022 and joined her beloved husband Robert (Bob) in eternity. A celebration of her life will be held Friday March 24, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Plymouth Congregational Church in Watervliet, followed by a burial service at Keeler Township Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. Friends and family are all invited to attend.

Ruth Ann was born in the log cabin that was originally the Lincoln Cabin Inn on Forest Beach Road in Watervliet on Oct. 6, 1946. She graduated from Watervliet High School in 1964 and married her high school sweetheart Bob on Nov. 7, 1964. They were married 54 years and one day. They made their home in Keeler for most of their married life with a few years spent living in Sebring, Florida, at Buttonwood Bay.

Ruth Ann was an avid reader, an accomplished gardener, loved to travel, enjoyed attending car shows and being a part of the Rod Knockers Car Club, loved people, and had faith. She worked at the Van Buren State Bank in Hartford for 20 years, working her way up from teller to vice-president. She gave herself fully to the adventure of life.

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight and Ruth Horton, her husband Bob, and her brother Frank. She is survived by her sister, Diane Nelson, brother- and sister-in-law John and Nancy Millhouse, nieces Elizabeth Dietrikx and Jennifer Cartier, and nephews Corey and Joshua Nelson.
