Steve Starner steps down as Chairman of Hartford Fire Board; takes new position on Hartford Township Board of Review

HIGHLY ACCOMPLISHED… Joshua S. Sarters, a graduate of Coloma High School, was named Installation Fire Chief for F.E. Warren AFB in Cheyenne, WY on Jan. 15 of 2024. Amassing over 26 years of public service within the Fire and Emergency Services career field, Chief Sarters has been honored with this historic position of leadership. He holds numerous accomplishments to include being 2-time U.S. Air Force Firefighter of the Year, 3-time U.S. Air Force Fire Officer of the Year, 5-time Department of Defense installation Civilian of the Year, 2-time Civilian Commendation Medal recipient by the Secretary of the Air Force and Secretary of the Navy, 3-time Public Service Medal recipient, and 2-time Silver Life Saving Medal recipient. Additionally, Sarters was inducted into the Firefighter Challenge Hall of Fame for being awarded Grand National Champion and 5-time World Finalist, and he became an internationally published author for his career field.
