Stolen vehicle stop leads to multiple charges
A traffic stop last week in Hartford Township led to the arrest of a Buchanan-area woman after deputies discovered the vehicle she was driving had been reported stolen out of Michigan City, Indiana.
According to the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office, Uniform Response deputies stopped the vehicle after observing an obstructed license plate as it was leaving Casey’s General Store in Hartford. The vehicle was subsequently identified as one reported stolen by the Michigan City Police Department.
