Susan E. Dubert, age 84, passed away quietly in the early morning hours of Dec. 8, 2025. She is survived and sorely missed by her daughter and son-in-law Laurie and Bob Collins of Dade City, Florida, her son and daughter-in-law Carl and Alexa Dubert of Crozet, Virginia, and grandchildren Armin, Lieselotte, Ilse, and Annica Dubert. She was preceded by siblings James A. Stoddard, Robert P. Stoddard, and Carol DeHollander, and parents Albert and Ruth Stoddard.
Susan was born and raised in Coloma, Michigan, spent much of her adult life in Battle Creek, Michigan, where she raised her children and worked as an x-ray technician at an urgent care clinic, and then lived most of her later years in Holland, Michigan, where she worked as a caregiver for those who were older and less able than herself. She was a modest woman with simple tastes, known for her love of dogs, fervent faith in God, and unhesitating willingness to help people in need.
Her family plans to host friends at a memorial gathering in Holland, Michigan, in June 2026. Once the final arrangements are made, details regarding the specific date, time, and place will be provided in an updated obituary posted on neptunesociety.com.
