TAYLER D. SMITH

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Tayler Dawn Smith (Buggy), who left this world far too soon on May 10, 2025, at the age of 27. Tayler was a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter, and a treasured friend to many. Her presence lit up every room, and her nurturing spirit touched countless lives. She truly was the light of so many lives.

Born on March 30, 1998, in South Haven, Michigan, Tayler grew up in Coloma and graduated from Coloma High School in 2016. She pursued her dream of helping others by earning her nursing degree in 2020. Though proud of her education, Tayler found her true calling as a stay-at-home mother - a role she embraced wholeheartedly and with unmatched devotion.

Tayler’s life was centered around her family, especially her four children: Hudson Smith, Caleb Smith, Cade Smith and Haydyn Smith. She adored every moment spent with them and her loving husband, Caleb Smith. Whether baking in the kitchen, enjoying the sunshine at the beach, or hunting outdoors, Tayler cherished every memory made together.

She was known for her infectious smile, kind heart, and deep love for family and friends. Her warmth, laughter and genuine care for others will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Tayler is survived by her husband, Caleb, their children, Caleb, Cade and Haydyn; her mother, Bonnie Snow and father, John Snow; sisters, Cheyenne (Anthony) Snow and Kaylee (Logan) Prater; best friend and soul sister, Madison (Breck) Rushing; paternal grandparents, Johnny McKie Snow and Linda Snow; maternal grandmother, Cyndi Jaggers; many nieces and nephews and countless loving family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her son, Hudson Smith; uncles, Zachary Snow and Ron McKie; maternal grandfather, Rick Holly; paternal great-grandmother, Hazel McKie and paternal great-grandfather, Otis McKie.

A celebration of Tayler’s life will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. The family will begin receiving friends at 11 a.m. up until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Fish Cemetery.
