Carnival - 1916

It was July 19, 1916, and just two weeks away from Hartford’s big celebration. The Knights of Pythias Carnival. A gigantic heat wave had been in progress for over a week, and kids were still diving off the Paw Paw River bridge north of town, sometimes in less than decent attire, causing local travelers to complain to village authorities.
