The rule that costs you at the pump

 Affordable energy should be the default, not the exception. That principle guides how I approach every issue on my committee and it applies just as squarely to what happens at the gas pump as it does to what happens on the grid.

 Last week, the governor signed an executive order allowing the sale of E15 fuel in several of Michigan’s most populated counties. E15 typically runs 10 to 20 cents cheaper per gallon. For families filling up twice a week, that’s real money back in the budget. I’m glad drivers will see the savings.
