Third time’s a charm for Watervliet School District Bond Approval 52% to 48% opposed approving $13,500,000

Although it was close, voters in the Watervliet School District supported their bond proposal and the renewal of the Joint Fire Board millage in Tuesday’s election. Polls were open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, where voters could vote either “Yes” or “No” on a zero bond proposal to continue the current debt levy to cover the cost of some major improvements to the aging school buildings in the area. After two other failed attempts, it passed.
