This past weekend the Tri-City area was host to two of food fundraisers

FIRETRUCKS & AIRPLANES… Food fundraisers are incredibly versatile, offering options like bake sales, pancake breakfasts, restaurant nights, and food truck events—and even a chili hop making them a great fit for a wide range of groups and budgets. This past weekend the Tri-City area was host to two of these events.

Each year during Fire Prevention Week, Hartford’s Fire Department hosts a pancake breakfast, using food and community spirit to raise vital funds for equipment, education programs, and local fire safety initiatives.

Another popular fundraiser was the Watervliet Municipal Airport’s Chili Hop. This annual event featuring a fly in, hot chili, warm cornbread, cold apple cider, and plenty of sweet desserts welcomes the autumn atmosphere and an opportunity to interact with various aircraft.
