Tom was born Feb. 2, 1943 in Lawrence to Joseph and Lilah (Clark) Jordan. He was employed by Industrial Rubber and retired from Gast Manufacturing in 2010 after 42 years of service. Tom was a hard worker in everything he did. He did not know the words “quit” or “can’t.” He spent many years working within the Christian community mowing acres of lawns, serving on various boards and making all feel welcome in his position as Head Usher. He touched many lives with his quiet smile and firm handshake. Tom’s greatest satisfaction in life was doing a hard day’s work, doing it well and teaching others to do the same.
Tom is survived by his wife Lois, whom he married Aug. 27, 1966; children Anthony (Kathy) Jordan of Watervliet and Andrew (Melisa) Jordan of Coloma; grandchildren Roger Metz, Courtney Metz and Thomas Jordan; siblings William “Bill” (Darlene) Jordan and Betty Jordan; brothers-in-law Larry (Sandy) Rinehart and Tom (Eva) House; sisters-in-law Marilyn (Paul) Ott, Lou Ann (Larry) Krieger and Nancy Hundt, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his siblings, Ken (Judy) Jordan, Shirley (Larry) Anchor, Roger (Laurel) Jordan and Pat Rinehart, and his father-in-law Arnold Schlender.
