THOMAS L. WHITNEY Sr.

Thomas L. Whitney Sr., 78 of Coloma passed away on July 15, 2022 at Courtyard Manor of Farmington Hills in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Thomas was born on May 20, 1944 in Watervliet to Robert and Harriet (Truhn) Whitney. He graduated from Watervliet High School and enlisted in the Army, serving in the Korean and Vietnam War era. Right out of the service, Tom was employed by Whirlpool in Benton Harbor and retired once the plant closed down. Tom also enjoyed spending time with his family in his free time.

Tom is survived by his children Kelly Devine and Todd Whitney; brothers Gary (Charlene) and James (Debbie) Whitney and grandchildren Sammie and Clayton Devine, Sydney Whitney and Shytanna Curtis.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife Mary, son Tom Whitney Jr. and two grandsons Alex Hall and David Whitney.
