Van Buren Sheriff’s Office partners to “Empty the Shelter” in December

The Van Buren County Animal Control Shelter is partnering with the Bissel Pet Foundation to help bring hope to the shelter during the holiday season. “Empty the Shelters in December” campaign will help Van Buren County find forever homes for animals held in the shelter. The event is going on from December 1-15 at the Hartford shelter location, 58040 C.R. 681. Citizens will be able to adopt a dog for $40, for a dog six months or older.
