Watervliet High School students lent a hand to Habitat for Humanity, helping build sheds for a new Benton Harbor housing development
HELPING HANDS… Students in Luke Dennison’s Watervliet High School Woodworking classes (and a few guests from the JMG class!) had the opportunity recently to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.
Pictured are: (from the left) Dakoda Morrison, Conner Peek, Isaiah Donovan, Anahi Howell, Isabella Clark, Rihanna Vela, Taven Riggs, Roman Arndt, Michael Wigent and Instructor Dennison.
They helped build sheds for Project T, a new housing development in Benton Harbor on the vacant site of the old Mercy Hospital. Students helped unload pre-build walls, set and squared them on concrete pads, and added sheathing to get the sheds ready for roofing and siding.
