Walter M. Sewcyck, 85, of Coloma passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, Sept. 3, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet. Burial followed at North Shore Memory Gardens. Donations in memory of Walter may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet, of which he was a member and usher. Walter was born Dec. 31, 1936 in Coloma to Walter and Karolina (Jarosz) Sewcyck. He owned and operated Riverside Electric for over 40 years and in his free time enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. He was a dedicated, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will truly be missed by all.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Christean (Jones), whom he married Aug. 17, 1957 in Watervliet; a daughter, Theresa (Mark) Sewcyck-Gamble of Bay Village, Ohio; his son Tim Sewcyck of Coloma; two grandchildren, Heather Sewcyck and Matthew (Melissa) Sewcyck; along with two great grandchildren, Brenner Sewcyck and Gemma Richards.
In addition to his parents Walter was preceded in death by five brothers, Edward, Ernie, Louie, Tom, and Chester.
