The U.S. Olympic team chose swimmer Katie Ledecky and rower Nick Mead to lead the team at the closing ceremonies in Paris on Sunday, Aug. 11. Everyone probably knows all about Katie being the most decorated American female athlete in Olympic history, but what they probably don’t know is that Nick was in Watervliet last September and took the opportunity to practice rowing with some friends on Paw Paw Lake.
