Watervliet Football
The Watervliet varsity football team hosted Niles Brandywine on Friday, Sept. 5, for a non-conference game, with the squad attempting to rebound from a disappointing opening week. It was a thrilling matchup throughout, with the Panthers holding on for a one-point win, 32-31.
The first quarter belonged to the defenses, as neither team was able to put points on the scoreboard. However, it would be a setup for a back-and-forth affair that would not be decided until the clock ran out to signal the end of the game.
