Watervliet Township Board addresses KOHOE dispute, sewer concerns and senior funding

Watervliet Charter Township held their regular monthly board meeting on Aug. 17, 2026. The meeting was called to order by Township Supervisor Bob Wallace at 5:30 p.m.

In initial business, the board approved the minutes from the July 20, 2026, Regular Board Meeting before approving both Tom Scheid’s Treasurer’s Report and Linda Rizzo’s presentation of the bills totaling $167,194.04 and 34,843.84 in payroll, for a grand total of $202,037.88.

KOHOE property dispute continues as township reviews short-term and long-term term rentals and campground regulations

Tensions continue to mount in the township as residents press the board to take action regarding alleged ordinance violations involving KOHOE Properties and its representatives. Residents have repeatedly told the board they want township ordinances to be enforced consistently and property owners to be held accountable when violations occur.
