Watervliet Township says campground work must stop as officials report continued violations

Watervliet Charter Township officials say KOHOE (Kingdom of Heaven on Earth) Properties LLC., has continued operating its campground-related business despite receiving a formal cease-and-desist letter ordering all development and commercial activity to stop until the company complies with local zoning requirements.
During Monday night’s Watervliet Charter Township Board meeting, officials reported that the property owners allegedly disregarded the township’s directives over the weekend by hosting another event at the property located at 9327 Red Arrow Highway.
According to discussion during the meeting, campers that had previously been removed from the site were replaced for the weekend, and electrical service that had reportedly been disconnected was reconnected in order to continue operations.
