Jon was born March 9, 1959, in Watervliet, Michigan to Bud and Frieda (Paul) Bisnett. He grew up in Watervliet where he graduated high school in 1977.

Jon was an entrepreneur at heart and he worked as a salesman for most of his life, most recently for Miller Thermometer Company. He was a longtime reporter for the Tri-City Record. Music was a constant in his life from playing an instrument, to encouraging his boys’ talents, to being the sound guy for bands most recently The Unknowns.
