WILLARD G. NICHOLS

Willard G. Nichols, 89, of Benton Harbor passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026, at Millburg Cemetery in Millburg. Those wishing to leave an online message of remembrance may do so at www.duffieldpastrick.com.

Willard was born Dec. 9, 1936, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a longtime local farmer and had been employed, over the years, by various businesses in the area. Willard was also a life member of Millburg Christian Church, a member of the North Berrien Historical Society, a volunteer at Eden Springs Park in Benton Harbor, and was a huge Spartan and Detroit Tigers fan.

Survivors include his son Dan, and daughters Laura (Brian) Grant and Tammy (Troy) Lahndorf. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and a nephew Steve Cordell.

Willard was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Marian (Mays) Nichols, his sister Ruth Cordell, and a niece Cyndee Cordell.
