This week, the sounds of silence in our football stadiums will be replaced by the roars of the crowd, welcoming in another season of pigskin action. Along with watching games from the bleachers or the comfort of our own homes, the dawn of a new campaign ushers in the latest installment of the Tri-City Record Armchair Quarterback contest. Starting this week, and lasting through the new year and beyond, our neighborhood-friendly “superfans” are back, with their eye on claiming championship honors of their own and being bestowed the coveted hat. When the final seconds run off the clock on Super Bowl Sunday, one of our returning six panelists will either continue their dynasty, as a multi-time winner, or pull the role of “Cinderella,” as a first timer.
