Bill Whitney becomes fifth weekly Armchair QB winner in strong fashion

The ninth week of the Tri-City Record’s annual Armchair Quarterback contest has come and gone, but we made sure to continue our long-standing tradition of challenging our knowledgeable ‘super fans’ over some ultimately tough choices on the gridiron. Our diehards attempted to pick the winners of a trio of high school and professional football games, along with four collegiate football contests that were on the docket. With ten games of the slate for our pickers each week, there are a plethora of different outcomes that can happen, which often separate the ‘best’ from ‘just good’ in our weekly standings. We can report that this week saw improvement from several of our panelists. We even had a near perfect record on the stat sheet that was tarnished in the final game, come the end of play.
