Football team turns victory over Allegan into playoff appearance

Last week, the Coloma Comet varsity football team had their final game of the regular season. At home against Allegan on Friday, Oct. 25, the team was attempting to put together back-to-back victories, therefore securing their fourth win of the 2024 season. The visiting Tigers came into play with a 3-5 record, while having similar postseason aspirations as the Comets. In fact, Allegan was looking for a rebound, having lost five of their last six games. When the final seconds ran off the clock, the Comets reigned victorious, 36-12.
