Coloma Press Box

Coloma Baseball

The Coloma varsity baseball team hosted Allegan on Tuesday, Apr. 29, for a divisional conference doubleheader with the men trying to secure their first positive result in league games, which they were able to accomplish in comeback style, earning the sweep, 4-2 and 6-4.

Game one would last the entire seven innings, but all it took was one big frame for the game to flip upside down. The Comet bats were silenced, for the better part of five innings, while the Tigers scored single runs in the top of the first and sixth innings, hanging on to a 2-0 lead. But, in the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, and two outs, Coloma found the gap in left field for a bases clearing double, before scoring another run, ushering in a reversal of fortunes.
