Coloma Boys Basketball
The Coloma varsity boys basketball team traveled to Constantine on Tuesday, Feb. 3, for a non-divisional conference game, looking to take advantage of an opponent with one win on the year and get their record back to .500. After a slow start, the team surged ahead for a win, 52-36.
The Comets (7-7) needed some time to get their legs under them, but once they came out for the second half, they found their mojo and pulled away. The game was knotted up, 12-12, after the opening eight minutes, before Coloma’s 11-7 run in the second quarter gave them a 23-19 halftime lead. The men in green and gold used a 15-4 burst in the third quarter to go in front 38-23 with eight minutes remaining, closing out the night by claiming the fourth quarter, 14-13.
