Dale Haynes Woolcott passed away Friday, Jan. 28, 2022, in the medical center Carolina Village Hendersonville.
“Haynes,” son of Dale Sr. and Camille Haynes Woolcott was born Feb. 15, 1936. He was a star in basketball. He later graduated from Western Michigan University, and became head of the math department at Hartford High School. He was also instrumental in constructing little league baseball fields for the local children.
Haynes married his high school sweetheart, Elaine Jensen, and they developed a sports film processing business and a photo studio. Upon retiring they moved to Hendersonville to be near Elaine’s brother Vern. They made many friends in the Elks Club and their neighborhood.
