Football drops Homecoming game to Buchanan
Last week, the Hartford Husky varsity football team hosted their final home game of the 2024 season. In their seventh game of the season, which saw the team host Buchanan for Homecoming on Friday, Oct. 11, they played in front of arguably the biggest crowd of the year, who filled the stands from the bottom row, right to the very top. Standing in their way were the Bucks, a team with a 3-3 record, but whose three losses came to potential playoff teams, in Berrien Springs, Ottawa Lake Whiteford and White Pigeon.
For one half, it appeared like it would be a battle, as it was just a nine-point game after two quarters; however, what was a celebration of Homecoming would quickly turn sour in the second half, in favor of the Bucks, as they would leave town with a victory over the Huskies, 51-18.
