Hartford Boys Basketball
The Hartford varsity boys basketball team traveled to Comstock on Thursday, Jan. 29, for a conference game, looking to secure back-to-back victories and avenge an early December loss to their opponent. This game would follow a similar script to the first, resulting in a defeat, 62-47.
The Huskies (3-8, 3-7) trailed by double-digits at the half, but made a comeback before the wheels came apart in the closing stages. The Colts led after the opening eight minutes, 19-14, before using a 17-8 scoring run in the second quarter to extend their lead to 36-22 at halftime. Hartford made inroads on both ends of the floor in the third quarter, as a 15-8 scoring burst made it 44-37 entering the fourth quarter, but Comstock would control the final eight minutes, 18-10.
