The Hartford varsity football team hosted Galesburg-Augusta on Friday, Sept. 11, for a conference game, looking to continue their strong start to the season by defeating a visiting Rams team for the third time in four meetings and move to 3-0 for the first time since 2018.

short field. Quarterback Mason Mireles kept the ball and rushed it into the end zone from three yards out. After the extra point kick sailed through, the home team led, 7-0.

Galesburg-Augusta would later strike for a score of their own with just over a minute remaining in the opening stanza, finding six points on a running play. Their two-point conversion attempt (a pass) failed, leaving the Huskies in front, 7-6, after twelve minutes of intense play.
