High school, college football games challenge Armchair QBsin busy Week 1

As the high school and collegiate football seasons begin anew this week, with the blowing of the whistles and the roars of the crowd migrating across stadiums nationwide, so begins the newest installment of the Tri-City Record’s annual Armchair Quarterback contest! Starting this week, our neighborhood friendly local football ‘super fans’ each begin with an equal opportunity of claiming the crown; or a hat, in our case, when the final horn sounds on Super Bowl Sunday in February. This year’s campaign will kick off with a familiar cast of characters, as our six panelists from last year return re-invigorated for battle, with one looking to hold onto her championship hat, while five others look to revel in their own glory.
