Senior citizens often stand at a quiet crossroads of memory, wisdom, and vulnerability. In later life, as careers slow, families change, and physical strength fades, the need for meaningful love becomes more visible than ever. This is where Divine love—often described as agape love—reveals its relevance. Agape love is unconditional, selfless, and enduring. It gives without demanding, sees worth beyond productivity, and honors dignity simply because a person exists. The word comes from Greek and describes the love that comes from God and reflects God’s nature.
