The vacant desk on the floor of the Michigan Senate has been collecting dust for months. More than 270,000 Michigan residents have had no voice in their state Senate. It has been nearly a year since U.S. Rep. Rivet officially resigned her Michigan Senate seat to be sworn into her new office in Washington, D.C. Yet, all we’ve heard is crickets.
