Rodney Lynch takes home top Armchair QB honors in tumultuous week

The eighth week of the Tri-City Record’s annual Armchair Quarterback contest has come and gone. We made sure to continue our long-standing tradition of challenging our knowledgeable ‘super fans’ over some ultimately tough choices on the gridiron. Our diehards attempted to pick the winners of a pair of high school football games, six collegiate football contests and a pair of professional football matchups that were on the docket. With ten games on the slate for our pickers each week there are a plethora of different outcomes that can happen, which separate the ‘best’ from ‘just good’ in our weekly standings. We can report that this was one of the toughest weeks we have had to date in this year’s competition, as no one won more than seven games and we even had a losing record at the end of play.
