Watervliet Volleyball

The Watervliet varsity volleyball team traveled to Bangor on Wednesday, Nov. 5, for a district semifinal showdown against Gobles, with the ladies looking to secure a spot in the finals in this battle of conference foes. The Lady Panthers and Lady Tigers have recent history: they played twice in the span of five days, with the two teams splitting those meetings. So who would get the last laugh? It was the ladies in maroon and white who swept the night: 25-14, 25-22, 25-19.

As the coaching staff correctly stated, the victory was a clear indication that the hard work and competitive fire fostered in practice are translating to postseason success. That would be clear right from the first ball, as Watervliet demonstrated control throughout, never allowing the opponent to dictate the pace of play.
