The first time I saw the label, “Boxing Day in Canada” printed on a calendar I thought it referred to belligerent Canadians who dedicate one day a year to fist fighting. Of course, I was wrong! On the contrary, I learned the true spirit of Boxing Day was just the opposite. It was the day after Christmas, and it is primarily dedicated to showing kindness to less fortunate by sharing gifts and hospitality. Almost like an official day for Random Acts of Kindness among Canadians. The truth was much more encouraging.
