Coloma Baseball (2-0)

The Coloma varsity baseball team hosted Saint Joseph Michigan Lutheran on Tuesday, Mar. 24, for a non-conference single game, looking to grab wins in back-to-back seasons against the visiting Titans, who were regional finalists last spring. The men would take the victory, 13-3.

WORTH EATING DIRT… In their recent home non-conference opener against Michigan Lutheran, Coloma’s Ross Smothers exudes maximum effort into his head-first slide, as he tries to beat the relay throw into home plate and add a run on the scoreboard for his team. The throw would be plenty late, allowing his run to score with ease, part of a ten-run onslaught in the fifth inning which helped necessitate a victory, 13-3. (TCR photo by Jerrod Birmele)
