The COVID-19 supplemental budget strategically appropriates and provides relief to our state that is reeling from the effects of COVID-19 and economic suppression. The budget plan passed out of the House last week with 85 out of 110 representatives approving the budget. The governor quickly vetoed certain line items totaling $1.9 billion of the $4.2 billion COVID Relief supplemental budget. This supplemental, remember, is a budget appropriated by the states with funding from the federal government to strictly provide relief for Michigan families, businesses, and schools, not the whole state budget.
