The Hartford varsity wrestling team traveled to Comstock on Wednesday, Jan. 21, to compete in a conference / non-conference triangular that also featured Mendon. Aiming to make their mark in one of the final team dual meets of the season, the team would return home with a split.
The Huskies (7-12, 3-4) wrestled in duals against both the host Colts and the Hornets, leading off the night against non-conference foe, Mendon, in a battle of teams with similar school colors. It was a competitive tilt from start to finish, which came down to a single point. But Hartford would be on the losing side of the score, 31-30. The wrestlers concluded the night with a conference showdown against Comstock and were able to savor the sweet taste of victory, 44-30.
