Raising the bar for Michigan students

 Michigan’s education system was once among the best in the nation. Today, it ranks among the worst — and the numbers don’t lie. Despite one of the largest per-pupil school budgets in the country, 75% of our fourth graders can’t read proficiently, and only 25% of our eighth graders are proficient in math. That’s not a funding problem. That’s a leadership problem.
