Standing up for the Constitution and Second Amendment

One of the most common concerns that constituents share with my office has to do with protecting the Second Amendment. Residents of Southwest Michigan overwhelmingly support the Constitutional right to bear arms and my constituents have made it clear that they do not wish to see this right infringed. As a long-time hunter and lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, I’m naturally skeptical of any legislation that seeks to reduce our fundamental right to bear arms.
